Each session is unique and has an accumulative effect of balancing our energy systems. We are multifaceted human beings with many layers. Over time and with life experiences these layers can accumulate. Our energy flow can get blocked. A Reiki session works to uncover these layers and release these blocks, incorporating the positive while releasing emotions, messages and experiences that we've out grown and are ready to let go of.
Each time we release another layer we recover another part of our selves and connect to our core truth - our essence.... This is about living life authentically and from a point of compassion....
When we feel this way, we feel in harmony, more confident, and happier. It provides clarity from which we can make decisions and choices that support our goals, well being, and happiness.
As a Reiki Master with over 15 years experience, my approach is holistic. I use all my experience to get to the heart of matters. I incorporate guided meditation, aromatherapy and drumming in each session. In addition, skills, techniques, and information are often provided that clients can use on their own .
There are many different sensations a person may feel during a treatment. Some people experience warmth or tingling felt in the body. Other times a person may fall blissfully asleep. Sometimes, you may become aware of a thought, memory or the answer to a question. It is all very normal. These experiences are deeply individual, and no matter what you feel, the energy is working and flowing through your body. During a Reiki session, the practitioner moves her hands along the body’s energy centers which are called chakras. The practitioner will spend several minutes on each of these areas. This is done by a laying of hands or in the energy field which surrounds the body. Each chakra has qualities that are associated with our physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well being. Reiki sessions generally last one and a half hours. A few minutes are set aside before and after the treatment, in order to discuss your intentions and experiences of the energy work. It is important to me that my clients feel comfortable and at ease during their session. Wearing relaxing, comfortable clothes to your session is suggested.
